Are you a believer or a sceptic or somewhere in between? Some evidence seems quite feasible and some is more like fantasy and mumbo-jumbo. Surely the ancient peoples who allegedly were such great astronomers would have left something more tangible behind than rocks and land features, most of which to the untrained eye look random and quite natural. The facts need to be simplified. Is that really a face on that rocky cliff and does the North island look like Mauis fish? And so it goes! Draw a couple of eyes on anything and it will become alive.
