Are you going to the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona this weekend? Its sure to impress as always, but this weekend there is a special feature. This year marks the 100 year anniversary of record land speed racing at Bonneville! One entire hall (Building 9) and the much of NHRA Museum is dedicated exclusively to the Century of Speed. Come see the huge display of land speed racing vehicles. Historic motorcycles, streamliners and roadsters will all be represented in this show of the century, including the very first car to set a land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats, the Blitzen Benz, piloted by Teddy Tatzlaff! The 2014 SCTA President Scott Andrews will be hosting the SCTA lounge along with many other dedicated SCTA members and officials, where you can come by and enjoy a free cup of coffee and goodies, as well as a nice place to get cozy and chat about the upcoming land speed events at El Mirage and Bonneville.
