Are you looking for an amazing, beautiful, and sweet kitten with an incredible rescue back story? Well then, Jett is your man. Jett came into the shelter back in July. He had been found under a truck, just laying there, not moving. When he was brought into the shelter, the staff immediately knew it was heat exhaustion. He was given fluids to cool him down. He was then placed in a cage with food, water, blanket, and a litter box. The next day, the staff showed up to him ice cold. He was then immediately placed on a heating pad. He was later syringe feed high fattening canned food and given sugar water to try and perk him up. Sure enough, the next day Jett had his head raised, screaming at us. We took him out and tried to let him walk, and to our disappointment, he couldnt walk. His back legs werent working. We immediately thought nerve damage from the hear exhaustion, and thought he would not make it. Later that day, he was checked by a vet in which it was discovered that his pelvis was broken. The puzzle then pieced together. He had climbed into the engine of a truck, got heat exhaustion from the outside heat and heat from the engine, then fell out of the truck and broke his pelvis. He was required 6 weeks of cage rest which he did so at a foster home. After the 6 weeks, Jett was doing amazing and began running around and playing with the other foster kittens. During his recovery the tip of his tail also was broken and fell off and is now scarred with white fur that had grown back. Jett is a wonderful boy. He knows his name and will come when called. He loves to snuggle and has a very outgoing personality. Throughout his whole recovery and being in his foster home, he showed tremendous strength and courage for he was in a lot of pain. He was such an inspiration. Jett is a big beautiful boy that will be so loyal and so good to a family of any kind. Jett has been on such a long journey and now it is time for him to settle down with a fantastic forever home that will love him dearly. This is one special kitten that you should not pass up.
