Army patrol attacked at Sanatnagar, 1 civilian injured Investigating the incident: Police, Al-Shohda brigade takes responsibility Srinagar, Sep 28: Suspected gunmen Saturday fired upon an army patrol in the outskirts of the city on Saturday, leaving a civilian injured. The attack took place between Sanat Nagar and Hyderpora bypass road this afternoon, official sources said. They said a civilian was injured in the brief firing. The whole area was immediately cordoned off the area and a hunt was launched to nab the gunmen, sources in the police said. Meanwhile, Al-Shohda Brigade claimed responsibility for the firing, saying two of its activists were involved. “Our two men carried out the attack on Army at Sanat Nagar in Srinagar,” a person introducing himself as Sami-ul-Haq, spokesman of the group was quoted as saying by local vernacular news agency KNS over phone. A police officer pleading anonymity said that they are investigating the firing incident and nothing can be said before they reach to any conclusion.
