Around this time last year I was in the hospital a few days before being woke up at 3am and rushed to ICU. My parents were informed by 3:30am and made the 5 hour trek and were by my side by 10:00am. My oxogen saturation had dropped so dangerously low that I was barley breathing. I spent 5 days in intensive care before being sent to SCU. I spent another 5 days in SCU (special care unit) before being returned to a regular room. It was 3 weeks before I was strong enough to return home. Just in time for Christmas and the New Year. Then bam! I got sick again. Matt rushed around the house and got my oxogen on me and drove me to the ER. I dont even remember the drive in or what happened in the ER. My oxogen was so low I was not consciously there. The pains I was having in my chest were indescribable. Both of these times I wasnt sure I was going to make it. This year other than a stint on home IV and a couple weeks of oral antibiotics, I have avoided being actually admitted to hospital since September. Such a difference from the amount of time I spent in the hole last year. So excited to be ending this year on a good note. The last week Ive felt better than I have in a long while. Im confident that this will carry me through the New Year! Maybe this is my Christmas miracle! So blessed for every good day I have! Dont take a single breath for granted friends!
