Arrived safely in Detroit however, arrived in Dallas on time but there was a several hour delay Hello all, I arrived safely in Detroit but was SEVERAL HOURS LATE huge beyond acceptable delays and cancellationsin Dallas due to severe thunderstorms AND ramps out of service so if you are ever flying DO NOT GO THROUGH DALLAS, AVOID IT AT ALL Costs. Really enjoying time with my sister Jessica Poe, she raids some greats girls and so very proud of my nieces, Met with my mom for a few hours, it went OK, she was glad to see me and she even apologized for a lot of things. Aunt was a different story. Got to see my grandmother and she is hanging in there. All that said, bringing this family back together is going to take an act of God or one hell of a miracle, there is sooo much anger and hatred, lies and bullshit that I was even mad after talking. My other sister has caused so much drama and bullshit that i myself wanted to slap her if I had seen her in person, which MAY still happen but i doubt it, 99% of the family want nothing to do with the other half since dad died and its sad. Plus i am not exactly not working while here, the medical, psychiatric and counseling care here is soo backwooods its on the verge of third world. Most of the people here are under managed care plans, so they cannot get their medicines that they need or even basic living devices such as hearing aids, many of the doctor and staff her do as little as possible but charge the most possible, MINIMALISTIC QUALITY OF CARE, spent 10 minutes at ProMedica before i was on the phone to the local democratic government office Marcy Kapturs staff, letting them know that this was bullshit plain and simple. I was offered to do a training here at one of the mental health clinics on DBT and current counseling practices so i think that is a huge step forward but they have a lot of catching up to do, i wonder sometimes if the ones i have spoken too so far got their licenses to practice out of a Cracker Jack Box.
