Arrrggggghh - more Morrisons aggravation. Booze gangway, McGuigan Shiraz, £5.49. Go through checkout and am charged £6.99. Go to customer services, woman takes bottle from me, comes back five minutes later, says,£6.99 is the right price. I tell her that it isnt, that the McGuigan Merlot is £6.99, the Shiraz is shelf tagged at £5.49. Off she goes again. Returns within three minutes this time to say, yes, youre right. Woman goes to till at fag counter, comes back, gives me 49p. Thats not right, I say, it should be £1.50. Takes the 49p back off me, goes to till, comes back with a one Pound coin. Thats still not right, I say. Isnt it?, she asks somewhat desperately. I say, you have overcharged me by £1.50, to which she goes back to till for third time and does actually return with £1.50. What she says next astonishes me - youre the fourth or fifth customer today who has been overcharged on that wine. Im amazed - four or five prior to me, yet no one has the savvy to alter the price on the computer in store, theyd rather dish out refunds. JHC, you ccouldnt make it up.
