Article V Convention of States With a government that has become a drunk, an intervention may be required. We have a congress whose members are not only in a state of perpetual gridlock but in permanent “election” mode , having to raise an average of $2,300 per day just to stay in power. No wonder they have lost touch with the needs and desires of those they represent. And an executive branch “drunk” on power who believe that they can do “whatever they want” and that they don’t need the congress or the people to “fundamentally change the United States”. After all President Obama has “a pen and a phone”.
