Artistic creations made at the earlier Paint the Town event are now being displayed at businesses around Armstrong in preparation of the upcoming Gala Dinner Auction and Dance. Both SPARC—the Armstrong Spallumcheen Arts Council Society—and Armstrong Homecoming 100 want to thank the following businesses for displaying these paintings; Valley First Credit Union, Frugal Frocks, Armstrong Hotel, Chocoliro, Margarieta’s Place, Brown Derby Café, Sapori Oils, Wild Oak Café, Final Touch, Okanagan Regional Library, Pleasant Valley Quilting, Latherup Canada Body Care and Deep Creek General Store. The public is encouraged to stop by those locations to view the artwork and, for those unable to attend the gala, place a reserve bid now by email at sparcartscouncil@gmail or by calling 250-546-6149. Just leave your name, contact information, the artist’s name and your top bid. Participating artists include the local talent of Sherry Kalloch, Terri Reid, Darcy Hodge, Francis Hatfield, Jamie Frazer, Levi Patterson, Charlene Woodbury, Lois Mollard, Marg Robertson, John H. Burrow, Sondra Haglund, Robin LeDrew, Roxi Hermsen and David Nordstrom. The auction and gala will take place at Hassen Arena Saturday, July 6.
