As I am looking through careerbuilder I realize everyone is in desperate need of STNAs & LPNs In defense of all you STNAs you are really getting screwed over since the minimum wage hike, I left that line of work in 2003 when minimum wage was $5.15 an hour & I was hiring in STNAs at $8.25 an hour after 90 day raise $8.55 an hour. Minimum wage is $7.95 per hour & my daughter is working as an STNA for $9.00 per hour that is barely a dollar over minimum wage for one of the highest stress jobs around! You work short staffed all the time because companies say they have no money I know they have raised there rates to reside in the nursing homes why are they not compensating with better wages!!! Do you feel unappreciated yet? I feel for all you STNAs Im sorry your employers forget how important you are!!! Just remember your not at the bottom of the ladder you are the foundation holding up the fort!!!!
