As I awoke I read of another Death of a very sweet lady before I began my day. Christmas Eve my children Grandfather Preston Jameson in Wichita Falls, Texas and on Christmas Day my Sister lost her children Grandmother Mrs Holmes of Electra , Texas. Mrs. Holmes was a very sweet lady who loved people dearly. She always made a place for you in her home. I remember Mrs. Holmes making butter from her farm as a little girl and warning me to stay away from the hog pen. I remember eating the sweetest homemade ice cream at her house. To me she was always the pioneer lady in my life. She was very tiny and but strong she was a little miracle herself. I remember a terrible car accident she survived and it seems if I remember correctly they were not sure about the outcome of the wreck for her or her daughter. She survived when she should not been able to survive. Her little farmhouse held so of the best play dates I had as a young child. For her home was made for children to learn and grow. Eating fresh from the garden or seating on the stairs to back of her house eating ice cream. My memory is sketchy but I remember her home being a place of adventure to me. For it felt like a farm when I was a child. I do not know if it could be classified as one but I had a lot of fun there. She taught you how to do things I would never have opportunity in town to do. I will miss my sister Mother in Law dearly. She was a blessed woman and I will always think of her as one of the sweetest . She always invited me to stay with her no matter if she had seen me in twenty years there was a bed for me if I needed a place to stay. I went by and saw her a few years back and I am so glad I did for she was one of the sweetest memories I have of my childhood. The thought that this same lady raised a young man who loves the Lord and preached at my Moms funeral it was such a beautiful service Marvin said for my Moma and I pray for his comfort today as I know she is in Heaven. I pray for my Niece and Nephew and my Big Sister for she loved her Mrs.Holmes . I pray for the entire Holmes family to have peace as this sweet lady gets to see the face of Jesus today. Mrs Holmes you were a light to many in this world and Thank you for letting your light shine. I will always think of you like the candle in the Christmas Eve service as on of the sweetest little lights in my life.
