As I get ready to leave Empoli, Id like to thank all the people that made this summer and every summer so special. Im undoubtedly the luckiest person in the world in the fact that I live between the two best countries in the world. Italy offers more artistic and cultural treasures than any other nation, and America more opportunity. I feel selfish as I always get the best end of the trade off in the fact that every time I leave one home and go to the other I have great friends and family the wait for me and are excited to be with me. Id be nothing without them. Im grateful also that I have parents that let me do this every year and that see the value in traveling as an educational experience. But truly Im proud of myself for never staying still, taking risks, and exploring a bit of the world while in the process discovering my own soul and watching myself grow.
