As I grow older, I become more and more fond of my parents. During childhood, we become accustom to opening our hands to them for money. For attention. We get what we need, then move on to cooler things in life. As we grow older, we learn to truly love them and not take advantage of them. We learn just how much they have sacrificed for us over the years. We learn how deeply they have cared about us day in and day out as well as just how much we have taken for granted. Today I watched a child totally disrespect their parent in public. Not only was it upsetting, but humiliating. My friends -- love and thank your parents daily. For who they are, and for what they have been to you. For their unconditional love, support, and backing. Never take for granted those that brought you into this world and who have loved you from the start.
