As I have contemplated the fact that I am 40 years old today I reflect on many of the patients I work with. I see 50 somethings with walkers and hating life and on the other hand I see 80, 90 year olds that are spry and lively. I have really noticed that their attitudes about life have played a huge role in how they feel and enjoy life. A lady who turned 80 a few days ago said 80 is GREAT! So I have decided that my theme song for this birthday will be Forever Young by Alphaville and NOT Another One Bites The Dust by Queen (based on title not necessarily the lyrics). Therefore I am not celebrating my 40th birthday, but calling a do over on 39. 39 take 2! (This trend make continue each year hereafter)
