As I lay here to say my prayers and try to sleep images of today haunt my dreams. I see the eyes of many souls who flood my mind. Those I helped and those I lost. Happy faces and sad faces. The sights and smells embedded for eternity. The struggle to help sometimes unbearable and sometimes defeated. Our world can be cruel and with cruelty comes hope a hope that someday all things will be better. Will we see it in our lifetime probably not but we are there hope for now. We are rescuers, we are warriors in a never ending fight for humanity for those that have no voice.
