As I left Riverside yesterday, I held my Papas hand as I told him I loved him and that Id see him tomorrow. As I headed towards the door, he said Bye honey, see you later. For the first time since he had been admitted, I felt that he was conscious of my presence and that he knew he was talking to me. Anticipating his return home all night, I prayed that Papa would make it home safely. Despite all our prayers, my Papa left us to be with the Lord early this morning before I got a chance to say my final goodbye. My Papa was a wonderful man and will remain close to me in my heart until I find him again. I am thankful to be surrounded with so many wonderful family members and friends in this time of need. I am also thankful for my wonderful, selfless, beautiful Nana, who puts everyones needs before her own at such a difficult time. I love you beyond words papa and I anxiously await the day we will be reunited again.
