As I sit here watching the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy I - TopicsExpress

As I sit here watching the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy I have heard all the speeches yet as I watch I realize that time was a turning point in our countries course. Though I wasnt there when it happened it still echoes strong in our country today . I have yet to hear a speech or speeches that have had the impact as they did back then . People have become immune to the news as though this is typical of the day and time we live in. Social media has things faster than the news outlets can today. Has the last greatest speech ended without being heard or is yet to come. Has our country become a country that will never regain its priorities do to the fact that there are too many parties involved ? This has got to stop and be resolved with the people being more involved . Do our politicians really think they are acting in our best interest or are they doing their own thing ? Change begins with you not them . Are we afraid of getting involved for fear of what people will think ? Bad news is theyre already thinking that way . This country was founded on the pursuit of Life ,Liberty, and Happiness. Not to be persecuted for your beliefs politically or religiously. Free to express hourself in whatever way you want peaceably. How do I (we) get motivated to make the changes that need to be made . One step at a time one battle at a time . We are a great country a d I believe it can be greater than our forefathers ever thought it could be . So I say to you what can you do for your country ? Not what can your country do for you. I think we have lost site of that means . Something to think about .
