As I sit on my back porch I wonder should I give an update on my mom Virginia Hilliard. Omg! Should I tag her? Sure why not. She barely has no memory left of her Facebook anyways, and I can delete the status before she gets a whim! and remembers it for a moment, and I gladly reconnect her to her family and friends. How well that turns out? Well it doesnt matter because in her mind at that moment she remembers and is having fun. Dementia!!!!! The worse disease I hope to ever know. I sit here thinking what todays events will bring? Reminiscing on yesterdays. Her nephew Jason Lester is in town. After me telling her 3 times her went to cedar point and will be here tomorrow. She still sat on that porch and waited growing more and more agitated cuz he still hadnt come. I would remind her he went as carefully as I could trying not to upset her that she has forgotten. I learned from the Alzheimers association music usually calms. Chella mooley micha body. However that goes? works for mom everytime. Diversion!!!!! I got that down pat. The Dreaded telephone!!!! I watched her yesterday be upset cuz she cant remember how to use her phone, tv remote, controls for her chair. I just cant use anything anymore. WHY DD WHY? I hug my mom and tell her. Well at least you remember me and all of your family and friends. Inside i cry because this dementia is moving so fast. Not to mention her other physical problems she endures every day. My mom wants to die, but she is a trooper and fights the fight everyday and I pray that God take her here home in her bedroom, which by the way, she thinks on a daily bases that weve moved. So I ask you all to pray for me and my family to give us the strength to help her through her battle. Thank you for reading this all the way through.
