As I stand shirt-less an inch from my portable A/C unit (sorry was that too risqué? Its THAT HOT IN LA..plus I just rhymed) and post this I wanna thank everyone at TopTune for putting on a class show. Had no idea what I was in for...and frankly a little averse to writing a song with a perfect stranger in only 17 minutes, only to perform it for an audience and have it judged against two other paired writers! But guess what?!! We WON! We were given the title Oh, Thats A Kick and had to write a song based around it. Video of our performance coming soon. I was paired with amazing talent Chris Price and when we got the 4 minute warning and had still 2 verse lyrics to fill and a pre-chorus..I was gonna panic attack. I wouldnt recommend this for people with anxiety ..in all seriousness tho, it was a great exercise and honor to be a part of! If youre a stellar songwriter in LA hit me up and Ill direct you the Top Tune people to be a part of it.
