As I was driving the other day, thanking God for GPS technology to lead me where I need to go, I couldn’t help but think of what would happen if I didn’t have it. I recall as a youngster, going on vacation with my parents and them pulling over at a gas station, to view the glove box map, (there were many of then too), to find where they were and locate where they wanted to go. There are very few things in this world as terrifying as being lost. My wife gets lost very easily, as wonderful as she is, she is directionally challenged. I kid her often and tell her she gets lost going to the mailbox and back. Whether it is in the woods, on the highway, or in a strange town, the impact it can have is still the same. Panic sets in, fear, frustration and even disappointment due to lack of navigational skills. Just as frustrating, is losing something. When something is misplaced such as keys, a wallet or even your children (it does happen, I got lost at Six Flags when I was 10), it disturbs, disrupts and dominates your consciousness. Just as we are concerned about being lost, God is too over the loss of a single soul and He makes every effort to find and save them. We Christians have a similar responsibility. That responsibility is to mark a clear and visible path to Heaven, one that is worn and weathered by personal witness, life and testimony. If you are lost in this life, find your way to God. God’s Word can show you the way because it is the roadmap for life and the life after! The greatest use of your life is to spend it for something that will outlast it! Just like losing something or being lost in your surroundings, if you do not have Christ in your heart and life then you are lost, wondering around in a world, thinking that you know exactly where you are. But, when you stand before God, will he say, “You found Me!” or will He say, “You never even looked”? God has made finding Him so very easy. “It’s as simple as ABC, A= admit we are sinners; B= believe He was born of a virgin, died for our sins and is now at the right hand of the Father and is coming back for us someday; C= confess our sins to Christ and turn from our sinful ways”. It’s just that simple. Remember, we are not human beings on a Spiritual journey but Spiritual Beings on a human journey! Encourage someone to go to church, change their life and accept Christ as their personal Savior! Keep the Church Attendance Challenge going by attending yourself and inviting others to attend with you. Post videos, pictures and checking-in on social media! God bless you all! #churchattendancechallenge #roger_tbfmin
