As I was listening to a song on the radio today by Matt Maher Lord I need You I was reminded about the time my grandson Sam who turned 3 this past November. He was told that when he turned 3 he had to throw away his dummies aka pacifiers. On his birthday he threw them away with a smile. But of course bed time comes around and he struggled. A couple days later he came to my house where he knew I had a spare one for him. He also threw it in the trash. Bed time comes and I laid next to him while trying to get him to sleep. He started to struggle saying he was hungry. He had a big dinner. I said lets wait a bit to see if you really are. Sam had nothing to pacify him. So what does he do? He turned over and started singing quietly, Lord I need you oh I need you every hour I need you my one defense my righteousness oh Lord how I need you! He immediately fell asleep! Sam in his innocence cried out to Jesus because he needed comfort! And as quickly as he called out to him Jesus met him where he was. Call out to Jesus he will meet you where you are. He will not disappoint you. He loves his children! He is a good Father. I love the fact that I can have a intimate relationship with Him! Well I bought the cd! And now every time I hear this song I think of Sam calling on Jesus singing ever so sweetly! Well thats my story and I am sticking to it!
