As I was reading prayerfully Gospel of John, a passage caught my attention. I felt the Holy Spirit was prompting me to pray and reflect on what Jesus says. “Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus answered. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. (John 6:43-48) My thoughts O Jesus, I have always been fascinated with the question What lies for me after this life is over?. Sometimes I struggle to accept certain things that you say but as time passes by I come to believe that your words are truth. I know that I still doubt sometimes because such things are not easily understood with my limited mind. Matters of eternal life is not so easy for me to grasp. But I pray and continue deepening my relationship in you. When I go up to receive the holy communion during mass, by head knowledge I know it is the Eucharist and the beliefs that supports it. I think I need to start looking at faith with my heart. Sometimes I run into this trap of becoming too knowledge centered but realize that faith is also a response from the heart. I study with my mind. I worship with my heart. I pray with my spirit. Amen. Goodnight.
