As I watched this video, I almost felt sympathetic with Dawkins and his frustration with fundamentalist Zionist Christianity. and its exploitation of religion for political purposes, which is so aggressive and disrespectful of any thing called truth that they have allowed the Bible to be polluted with the word Israel and the falsehood, in fact outright lie, that a place called Israel ever existed before 1948. Where he lost my sympathy was when he expressed his own type of blind following, ignorance and willingness to ignore the truth in order to advance his own anti religion agenda. He says he does not believe in a God, but he clearly does and that Gods name is Darwin. What he either ignores about Darwin or is simply ignorant of is that Darwin was not a scientist and not a biologist. Darwin was a theologian who was trained in the religious seminaries of the Church of England and in fact put on the Good Ship Beagle by order of the Church. Darwins theory of natural selection is merely unproven theory. It is an old political idea used to justify the imperialism and colonialism of the British crown for centuries. So, in this respect, Dawkins is no different from fundamentalist Zionist Christians in their abuse of the truth and disregard for real science. His only observable difference is that their political agenda is quite different than his. His angst seems to be rooted not in their inability to understand or appreciate his pseudo scientific worldview, but rather it lies in the fact that they were of greater number and at the time to have more money and political influence. That of course has changed and Dawkins type of atheism, which is blind Darwin worship seems to be on the rise and it is every bit as militant and violent as it always has been in the lands of Black and Brown people. who Darwins theories implied are inferior races to which the Brits have no moral responsibility. .
