As Mari wandered through the sacred burial ground trying to figure out her next step, she felt the little hairs on the back of her neck starting to tingle and stand up. Looking about to see if anyone was there, she was sure she saw someone or something lurking in the rocks just on the outside edge of the burial grounds . She proceeded to walk towards it, and whoever or whatever it was took off running away from her through a narrow crevice that had opened up from the earth to allow a low hanging Cypress tree space for growth. She continued to walk to where she thought she had seen the movement come from and turned in a circle a couple of times looking for anything that may be of help to her. Finding nothing, she sniffed the air. Mari had always had exceptionally good, above average sense of hearing and smell. The only scent she could get was that of a dog or perhaps a wolf, something canine she thought. Deciding that meeting a wolf or rabid dog out here alone may not be a good idea so she turned and started back to her rental car. Mari sat in her car and waited a few minutes to see of whoever had run away was going to come back. After waiting nearly half an hour she decided it was well and truly gone for now and decided to head back into town and start on the next name on the list.
