As a HS counsellor, I am concerned about school start up! Student - TopicsExpress

As a HS counsellor, I am concerned about school start up! Student timetables are a mess because of missed days in June. Normally, I would take 5-7 days of time --in June--to fix errors created by the scheduling software. Then HS Counsellors come into work for 4-5 days in August to meet with new students and to meet with current students who need/want changes to their timetables. Although I am quite sure school based administrators understand the severity of the situation for a secondary school start up, I am not at confident that those at the table share the same level of understanding. A colleague of mine has already received 100+ emails from concerned students and parents regarding timetables. I know this is a very specific issue on the landscape of the BCED labour dispute, its a crucial one that will have a year long impact if this issue does not get the appropriate attention.
