As a Member Service Representative II you will be responsible for acquiring, expanding, and enriching member relationships by acting as the credit union’s primary representative to the members and general public. A proven track record in sales is important for success in this role, as you will be required to cross sell and provide credit union products and services to new and existing members, with referrals to appropriate departments when necessary.You will also be responsible for opening and closing all types of share accounts, interviewing and counseling applicants for consumer loans, and for funding and processing consumer loans in accordance with established lending guidelines and practices and within individual approval authority. Successful candidates will possess an outgoing personality, one year of similar or related sales and service experience (financial institution background preferred) and cash handling experience. Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail is a must. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high energy environment is a must. Computer experience including a familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook is required.
