As a guy who has DJed in a club almost every New Years Eve since he was 16 years old (The Paramount All Ages Club RIP), NYE, to me, as a DJ, has always been about getting a good gig to rock on Dec 31st, one(or more :) )that hopefully most of your friends will be at and hopefully will be a dope party. This hasnt always been the case but I have been lucky enough to DJ with some of my best friends throughout the years on NYE. Jay Swing and I did The Aquarium a few years in a row amongst other NUMEROUS gigs... and of course Zak Santiago and I did the same party 7 years in a row! Shout out to Melo Mel! Im not sure where Im going with this post but I just wanna give a shout out to every single one of my friends who are DJing a party tomorrow night! I am honestly excited and strangely proud (?) to see all of these girls and guys promo-ing their parties on my FB and IG feeds. Its dope! And I hope everybody had a good 2014 and if you didnt... lets send that positive energy out so that 2015 is the best year yet for you and everyone you care about! Im proud of all my DJ friends, all over the world, for repping music and being gracious enough to share their tastes and talent for the public! The entertainment industry is not the most important around but it does hold a function; to help people feel good and have a great time with like minded souls. Like minded souls. (I think thats and oxymoron... or is it a paradox? I DIGRESS.) This year Im ending off the year at two parties: Ill be doing the early set for my dude Tito Deville at his big GREAT GATSBY party at Harbour Event Centre with my long time homie DJ Physik, DJ Kenya and Mark Rasta. And then Ill be ringing in the New Year at midnight with the monster crew SJS aka SJS (Slow Jam Sundays) at the soon to be completely sold out The Commodore Ballroom!! Big love to my brother Marlon J English for putting me on with P-luv for this epic party!! Like my mom says.... Love! Love! Love! for everybody!! Be safe!! and Happy New Year!!!
