As a person who has chosen a career dedicated to the public, to help and serve, to save lives and see people flourish with health, to be their caregivers and support. As an Aunt to beautiful nieces and nephews, what I saw and heard today was enough to rip my heart out and shred it. It pains me to hear about injustice and death. But hearing that our kids had to pay a price for something they had no responsibility of, they had no news of, that is worse than death. That is worse than any pain physically or emotionally. This time shouldnt be to argue over who did what and for what reason, it isnt time to start playing the blame game and cursing Pakistan. It is time for us to stand united and do whatever is in our ability to help those families that are suffering ten folds. Whoever is responsible for such a heinous crime, Allah has the worse punishment unimaginable to humans awaiting them. But we have to do our part actively, all those families know is that theyve lost their most worthy possession, their treasure, their life. Helping them is a different definition for everyone, so however you define help, act on it. This is the time. And today when your kids come back from school or wake up from a nap, or come back from a friends house, give them an extra long hug, give them their favorite candy and ice cream, shower them with love and celebrate their life, their happiness. Celebrate that your entire world hasnt crumbled. When your kids go to sleep, grieve for those innocent kids, in Peshawar, in Syria, in Palestine, in every part of the world where our kids have been unjustly killed. Make duaa, pray extra hard. Pray for their families, for Sukoon, for their healing, their happiness. And then think of how YOU can make a difference. Let us grieve together, heal together and then work together. Please recite DUA-A-MAGHFIRAT for all the Shaheeds .
