As a surrendered, eternally blissful consciousness, full of knowledge, our natural position is that of service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, but due to the illusory energy and circumstances of material nature, we forget our position and become diseased with a contaminated consciousness. Similar, in nature, to drinking dirty water for extended periods of time, we have become accustomed the material modes of nature. So much so that when we first taste clear, pure water (eternal service of the Lord) we may find it a bit abnormal; not always, but sometimes. If you examine, though, what Kṛṣṇa consciousness offers to the living entity, in the face of his four defects, you can see that God supplements the human existence by providing knowledge and compensating for our fundamental flaws. But those who always worship Me with exclusive devotion, meditating on My transcendental form – to them I carry what they lack, and I preserve what they have.” One who is unable to live for a moment without Kṛṣṇa consciousness cannot but think of Kṛṣṇa twenty-four hours a day, being engaged in devotional service by hearing, chanting, remembering, offering prayers, worshiping, serving the lotus feet of the Lord, rendering other services, cultivating friendship and surrendering fully to the Lord. Such activities are all auspicious and full of spiritual potencies, which make the devotee perfect in self-realization, so that his only desire is to achieve the association of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Such a devotee undoubtedly approaches the Lord without difficulty…” - Bhagavad-gītā As It Is Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa is known as sac-cid-ānanda-vigraha, the eternal, Supreme Personality, full of knowledge and always blissful. He is the primordial Lord who is superior in every conceivable way. Having been established as such, He can never commit mistakes or come under illusion. So in what we may perceive as bad, He already has full understanding. In what appears clear to us, but is really only illusion, is nothing but truth for Him. For the Lord, there is no mistake. This is why Kṛṣṇa consciousness is so essential for us, as we attempt to distance ourselves from the illusory energy of material nature.
