As a veteran, I feel I can share my opinions regarding the statements involving the services.......yes, it sucked being under-equipped during active duty, and yes, it sucks that after nearly 18 years in uniform, the promised healthcare is threatened.....shoot, it was more than a promise, it was contractual.....but hey, backing off and taking a larger view, I see that thus far, humankinds history is rife with broken contracts, promises, deals.....those that impact me directly are no more or less important than any other.....so how so I keep the bitter taste of betrayal, both personal and financial, from poisoning and killing my faith in humanity?.....how does the vast majority deal with it?.....I can only speak for myself, though I believe its representative of many more....I believe that positive, good, honest, caring, loving people far outnumber the rest of the alternatives opposite tendencies.....I take comfort in that.....Ill get through these approaching days like I always have....one foot in front of the other, eyes on the horizon.....Ill make it...just like Im pretty sure most of us will....:))
