As an added incentive for you to visit the village of Utica Sunday afternoon for the annual Veterans Parade, the La Salle County Historical Society is offering a sneak preview that day of its still under construction Heritage (museum annex) building. The remodeling of the former grain elevator/ hardware store is an important expansion for both the society and the community for the preservation of its varied history. New exhibits of military memorabilia and other historic Starved Rock Country artifacts will be on display. If you come to the parade, plan on seeing this beautiful building and its noteworthy contents.
