As citizens that are fortunate to have police, paramedics, and firefighters working to protect us, we need to acknowledge the hidden cost to first responders. They bear a cost to protect us in experiencing things that are incredibly difficult to witness and/or life threatening them. That wears on a soul…and we are protected because of the men and women who are willing to have their soul affected in that way. Thanx to all first responders!
