As has now become tradition, I would like to take this time to celebrate another anniversary for Southern Ambition Africa. It has been an enriching journey and I continue to celebrate not just the company’s growth but also those who as I mentioned in a similar note last year, empowered me to dream and whose support forms the bedrock of Southern Ambition’s modest success thus far. We have, as has always been the case, had to face many challenges and despite celebrating our anniversary I am not complacent nor do I feel that we have “arrived.” However, I am very proud of what we have managed to do in helping the company take root, even contributing to the façade on the iconic strip near where Rondebosch Café used to stand.I would like to take this time to single out a few people who have contributed to the growth of the company in one way or another but who will not be present to celebrate with us during the coming year. Rebecca your energy, endeavour and positive outlook shone through during your time with us. I hope your experience in Israel has been great because you are a star and deserve nothing but the best. Amira, your support as a friend and “colleague” was invaluable but I think this year the thing people will miss most is your contribution over the braai stand when we celebrate our anniversary! Karina, I hope your new adventure is proving to be rewarding. Your contribution was immense at a very critical in our business. Max, you were an outstanding intern and helped widen my perspective just through speaking to you. There are many deserving people whom I haven’t mentioned simply because there isn’t enough space to do so. I salute you all for your contributions over the past year. Finally I would like to thank the guys at the office who work extremely hard sometimes under difficult circumstances. In addition, let me take this opportunity to welcome the five new members of staff who will be joining us for next year. I am sure that the coming will be full of challenges and have confidence that we have the team to take them head on.
