As it has been mentioned earlier that Western propaganda machines (BBC, CNN, etc) have always been trying to portray the entire Middle East scenario, as #sunnishiaconflict esp the situation in Syria, Iraq & Bahrain. Here is another example of the misrepresentation of facts and distorting the words of important figures. BBC misrepresented Ayatullah Sistanis fatwa call for defending against terrorists, which was a general call for ALL Iraqis (and not for Shias only). This is how BBC had put it on their website: Iraq conflict: Shia cleric Sistani issues call to arms Iraqs most senior Shia cleric has issued a call to arms after Sunni-led insurgents seized more towns. BBC replied to complaint against wrong report of statement of ayt Sistani saying he called for shias to arm against Sunnis terming the call as sectarian. _____________________________________________ Dear Mr. Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry our original headline misplaced Grand Ayatollah Sistani’s remarks. The story itself reports Ayatollah Sistani’s call to arms to Iraqis in general, not Shia specifically.
