As many of you know, I have been on a mad man hunt for a job since we learned that our department lost funding. My only thoughts have been on how am I & Brook going to be able to go without insurance. I knew if all else failed I could get boys covered somehow even if it meant standing in line for government assistance. Well I got word today that my interview at Palacido Elementary went well and was offered a job teaching 1st grade. Mixed emotions. Hard leaving Mid-Coast. They are like family, they have been here as much or more that most since my mother passed. They have offered support and guidance through my grief. They have become great friends and it is with much sorrow that I now leave that almost daily support system. On a positive note, it is a HUGE pay increase which is definitely something my family and I need. Strange walking in to tell a boss or co worker that you love like family how excited you are to have gotten a job when they may or may not have work available for them. Very weird to be so happy and so devastated at the same time. I am blessed to have found this position and even more blessed to have these people in my life for the last two years. Please continue praying for these people, this organization and the people in our community who will no longer have the services they may need
