As many of you read last week, our classmate Adrienne and her family (Gibson, Party of 6) could use our help. Trent, her husband, was in a roll over car accident and after several surgeries they were able to reconstruct his left arm. I guess you can say it was a blessing in disguise because a few days after celebrating his 34th birthday in the hospital, Trent was diagnosed with Stage IV Synovial Sarcoma, a very rare CANCER. He also has metastasis in both lungs. Medical bills are already beginning to multiple and he hasn’t even started treatment. Hanovers Draught Haus in Pflugerville has generously donated the venue for the Pfamily Pfriendly, fundraising benefit for the Gibson Family “Party of 6”; scheduled for October 25th, time is TBD. In order to ensure the success of this very important fundraiser, I am seeking help with donations for the silent auction, raffle, etc. Heres a list of suggested items for the silent auction/raffle that we think will generate intense demand: 1. Gift Cards – restaurants, massage, oil change, fitness, Visa/Amex, cinema 2. Sporting Event Tickets – UT football/basketball, Texas Stars hockey, Texas Rangers/Round Rock Express baseball 3. Gift Baskets – wine/cheese, movie nite, beauty products, board games, crockpot, pet, lottery tickets, scentsy, coffee 4. Sports/Music Memorabilia 5. Luxury vacation rentals/Weekend getaway 6. Fun Outings – spa day, craft beer tour, vineyard tour, pub crawl/party bus, canoe trip/paddle boarding, Austin duck tour, Segway tour 7. Creative Artwork – paintings, local landmark photography, handmade crafts We’re also in need of the following vendor support: 1. Moonwalk – 4 hours 2. Music/DJ/Live Band – throughout the day 3. T-shirt printing 4. Face painting/balloon artist – 2 to 3 hours 5. Volleyball referees- throughout the day 6.
