As mentioned previously this page, along with Dartford Community Group and Dartford Matters, will be running a charity Christmas appeal. It has been decided that this year we will support North Kent Womens Aid (NKW), who will shortly be known as Choices. This was chosen as a local charity supporting people in our community at difficult times. We will be asking people to donate new toys and books as presents for the children NKWA work with, some of whom will have left their own toys behind when fleeing domestic violence. More details of this will follow - but first we need to ask for volunteers who have places around the town we can use as drop off points for the gifts. As many as possible would be great. The charity can then collect them. Hopefully this will be a successful appeal - and will show the potential of social media and community groups for good - please let us know if you can help with the drop off points.
