As most of my friends and family know my daughter Julia has been on a waiting list for the contegra conduit (a jugular vein from a cow) to replace the current homograft that was placed via open heart surgery when she was 5 days old. The company who makes this device cant seem to find the one that she needs company wide wordwide. We went back to the cardiologist on Friday and we believe we have found a comparable alternative from a different company. Its tough to explain all the ins and outs of the complexity of finding the right physician, surgeon, hospital, conduit and timing that is best for her however, I believe that we have accomplished this. The date hasnt been set in stone yet. Julia wants to attend Champ camp tge second week of June and has expressed that she woyld like to be out of the hospital by her 16th birthday on July 10th. Thank you to all who have been praying and I ask for continued prayers and meditation on a successful surgery and speedy recovery. This kid has been through a great deal and I must say that I am continually humbled by her strength and grace through it all.
