As most of you know, I will not be running for another term on the RSU 23/OOB Board of Directors. I encourage anyone who feels as I do, (that making sure the educational needs of the young people in our district are met with an eye to excellence), to run for the position I am leaving. It’s important to have “civilian” oversight of any organization so vital to the futures of our youngsters, of us, and of our town. It’s important to maintain a transparent and cooperative partnership with the folks who provide the means for the district to function! I regret leaving before the plans are in place for a new K-8 school, and hope that the new Board and the public will recognize the need for such an investment. I hope I can be part of the planning for such an investment in our future. Nomination papers are available at the Town Clerk’s office, and must be returned soon.
