As most of you know my mother, my son Ryan, Billie dog and I are traveling from Winter Park, FL to Mulberry AR. I am driving a 16ft Penske truck with Billie as my trip buddy and my son is driving a Gran Marquis with my 90 y.o. mom as his trip buddy. In the evening I am regaled with the tales of my mothers antics. Tonights I find worth sharing. While traveling thru Atlanta, GA today upon reaching the exit for Martin Luther King Blvd we were halted to a complete standstill due to an accident. (For those of you who are not aware, this is not the most desirable area for a Driving Miss Daisy scenario to be occurring.) Police vehicles were attempting to make their way thru the six solid bumper to bumper lanes of backed up traffic to respond to the accident scene. My son had opportunity to allow one of the officers to manuever in front of him, when he did this a black Cadillac Escalade with chrome spinners, heavily tinted windows and dropped chassis, playing very heavy bass rap music driven by a large, burly, thug- like gentleman took advantage of the opening himself and pushed his way into the lane in front of Ryan. Evidently my mother at this point was overcome with backseat driver road rage and she gave this gentleman the Italian version of the single finger hand gesture popular with American drivers overcome with road rage and she loudly shouted from the car window (which was open) what she felt should probably be his sir name ASSHOLE. In response to this the other driver immediately rolled his window down, cocked his head in a menacing angle and began a staring contest with Ryan. My mothers defense of this action?...well he should know better it was a very rude thing to do. I laugh so much with these two. Fortunately they are both still alive and there was no shootout caused by my radical mother. We are now resting and preparing for the next leg of our journey
