As my brother-in-law recently posted, I have accepted an offer for a full-time position as an Occupational Therapist. What does that even mean!? It means I have graduated from my Masters of Occupational Therapy. What is an OT? Are they the ones that try to take away my WCB benefits!? This position statement gives a nice overview of what we do. caot.ca/default.asp?pageid=3024. It sounds like youre basically Superman, being able to do all those things. I get awesome benefits, can you be my Occupational Thapist? Yes we are pretty much like Superman, though, in fact, not at all. And no, unfortunately, I cannot be your OT as it would be a conflict of interest, though you can feel free to book an appointment with a local OT who can help you figure out if Occupational Therapy treatment is the right fit for you! Also, good on you for supporting Occupational Therapy! Spread the word. More details on my position to follow when I know more about what it entails.
