As part of its strategic goal to advance policies toward sustainable natural resource development, a clean/secure energy future, and climate change mitigation and adaptation, the U.S. Embassy in Georgetown recently donated a number of books to North Rupununi District Development Board (NRDDB) Bina Hill Institute Youth Learning Centre. These books will provide a means of additional reference and guidance for students and teachers at the school. Bina Hill Institute seeks to build the capacity of the youth in the North Rupununi and Guyana by developing leadership skills and fostering a love for the indigenous culture and the management of the environment, while expanding upon the existing social and cultural framework.
