As part of our Bachelor of Education course School Relationships we had to plan an event that included school kids and parents, and our event was Family Skate Night which was held tonight. In total we had 94 school kids and 40 parents.. They got to skate with Santa, Mickey n Minnie Mouse and it was AWESOME!! There were 23 door prizes strictly for the kids and 3 food hampers for the parents.. we offered free hotdogs and hot chocolate.. I KNOW well get an excellent grade from our Instructor... :D I had one little girl come up to me, smiles and wraps her arms around my waist and says to me Whats your name? ..I was thinking.. THIS is exactly why I want to be a teacher.. hugged her back and said Im Sheila..with a smile from ear to ear...
