As the NTSBs investigation into the tragic events of Friday continue new areas of investigation have emerged : Acting Chairman Christopher A. Harts Third Media…: youtu.be/vjYVhGvUSNc Certain news media outlets have jumped from rock to rock trying to ascertain the cause of SpaceShipTwos crash. This irresponsibly adds negative gossip and hyperbole when the investigation has just begun to gather facts. The cause as yet has not been determined. In the UK Sky News will be running a debate and poll at 10.30 GMT with the subject Should We Give Up on Space Travel?- is it too hazardous, should we leave it to robots or science fiction writers? Clearly this is a knee jerk ploy in a bid for ratings. I normally would not pay heed to such things but Sky News has a strong following and the timing of this poll and its mid morning audience is bound to attract negative uninformed comments which help sway public opinion. Please help put down this inflammatory poll. You can tweet @ColinBrazierSky under hashtag #skydebate or email news@sky I know we all support space travel but we need to make our voices count.
