As the familiarity with creative and construction based gaming expands so does its use for the students of West Midlands Construction UTC. Minecraft is a popular construction and built environment based game. Established in 2009 and continuing to be a popular gaming devise, Minecraft allows its player to build entire worlds and interact with other players over the internet. Minecraft is being considered for WMCUTC and we are hoping it will give our students an interactive experience with a construction based product. The main appeal of the game for WMCUTC is that it is already well known among students and fun for them to use. The students will be able to collaborate and construct projects on a familiar format. The aspect of creepers and other threats to the students work in the game, we feel, is a fun and challenging way to give our students an understanding of time management.
