As the spring semester is officially underway, we are excited to share our schedule of events for this semester! Hopefully you see something that catches your attention :) Thursday, January 26th: Library 2nd floor, 3:30 PM, Karla Jensen will teach Hatha yoga (appropriate for all levels). Thursday, February 5th: Library, 2nd floor, 7:00 PM, Lauren Phillips will teach Ashtanga yoga (challenging, but accessible to anyone). Tuesday, February 17th: “Service” Yoga* at the Asian Community and Culture Center, 12:10-1:00. Monday, February 23rd: “Find Your Sanctuary” yoga, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 27th and South Streets. Karla Jensen will teach Hatha yoga, 5:30-6:30 PM. Thursday, March 12th: Library 2nd floor, 3:30 PM, Michelle Schaffert will teach Hatha yoga with some advanced balances (challenging, but accessible to anyone). Tuesday, March 17th: “Service” Yoga* at the Asian Community and Culture Center, 12:10-1:00. Wednesday, April 1st: Library 2nd Floor, 6:30 PM, Veronica Cockerill will teach Kundalini yoga (an energizing, breathing-focused practice, appropriate for all levels). Tuesday, April 14th: “Service” Yoga* at the Asian Community and Culture Center, 12:10-100. Wednesday, April 22nd (Earth Day Yoga): Outside (location TBA), 3:30 PM, Karla Jensen will teach Hatha yoga (appropriate for all levels). Thursday, April 30th: Screening of “The Mindfulness Movie” documentary, 6:00 PM, Olin A. Thursday, May 7th: Outside (location TBA), 3:30 PM, Karla Jensen will teach Hatha yoga (appropriate for all levels). *Share your yoga practice and get to know people from all around the world including Vietnam and Burma. The Asian Community and Cultural Center is at 2635 O St. (Parking is in the back, enter through the glass door, and down the stairs. Mats provided.) ALL EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO EVERYONE- STUDENTS, STAFF, AND FACULTY. Bring a friend! All yoga instructors are certified through the National Yoga Alliance. If you can breathe, you can do yoga!
