As we approach the November vote the campaigns amp up..folks begin asking more and more questions.. invites to meetings, debates, photo-ops, and speaking forums come in a flurry... This is my answers to the League of Women Voters that should be in the 411VotersGuide any moment .......... Dear Perry R Roll, Thank you for replying to the League of Women Voters 2014 VOTE411.org questionnaire. We appreciate your cooperation. Here is a copy of your submission: Contact Phone N/A Campaign Email divinis.miles@gmail Campaign Address Campaign Phone Web Site YouTube Video Town Where You Live Astoria Experience From the industrial trades thru marketing to corporate exec and finally to useful work as a Fuel specialist and Taxi driver. *Your Qualifications Ive heard the people speak, know their desires personally. Strong knowledge of history and philosophy gives me the wisdom to bring what we really need to survive and thrive to congress. *Given the changing health care landscape, what do you see as key health care opportunities and challenges for Oregon in the next few years? In brief, I believe in a National HealthCARE program as 47 other nations currently practice. HealthCARE, if provided as an entitlement to US Citizens, could save us a trillion wasted tax dollars used now to prevent welfare abuse alone! Our Veterans wouldnt need special consideration unless to be moved to the front of the line! Our medical oversight committees would be obsolete. ALL Americans would be assured of care allowing them to continue being productive workers as long as possible. *Of the many tax reform suggestions currently circulating, which, if any, would you support and why? Personally, Ive always been in favor of flat tax... thus making it an even playing field, eliminating the disparities, and forcing government to adhere to their budgets. The hostilities felt by all over corporate welfare and the multiplicities of hidden taxes would be alleviated. It may take a bit of time to implement since economists (the same people who assisted in the financial collapse) give long speeches with a lot of meaningless numbers opposed to the idea. *The State Office of Economic Analysis estimates that population in Oregon will grow 24%, to 4,249,700, by 2030. What measures should the state take to mitigate the burden this will place on our natural systems? Open the legal doors to speculative, start-up, and cottage industry by relieving the restrictive mandates applied to corporations and other public operations. I would go as far as allowing privileges to private small industry denied public corporations..such as the practice of religious preferences in business. I would support special tax breaks for private businesses in order to encourage a giant growth in employment! The League of Women Voters
