As we came to terms with what had just happened we set off. We didnt know where to go, only away from any Ivan that we saw. We knew they would probably be searching for us now. We walk through a derelict street. Bricks and personal items strewn everywhere. We see the bodies of those to late to escape. We walk through more of the same streets.... We spot a GAZ truck. We cant take it on. We run back round the corner. Otto stumbles and falls. I try to pull him up. But it is too late. Ivan has spotted him. Heinrich pulls me into an alley. We watch as Otto is beaten, I always thought that there might be reasonable Ivans. But this day I realise. They are all the same. They drag his broken body on to the back of the truck. Blood staining where Otto had once been. We set off through the alley. It stinks. I spot a single Ivan holding a PPSH 41 in the alley. I grab him hold my luger to his back. I pull the trigger........ -Eversti
