As we enter the Season of the Birth of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, - TopicsExpress

As we enter the Season of the Birth of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, we may find this time very stressful and difficult. Now, more than ever we should celebrate with great joy, Gods greatest gift to mankind. As we look about, we see many people sink into depression and sadness. Isolation and loneliness, are tools the enemy uses to bring some to hopelessness and deep depression. If Satan can keep us alone his goal of breaking our spirit and destroying our minds is much easier. This is why admissions to hospital and mental facilities as well as the number of suicides and attempts rise during this time. People become so busy with that they forget the elderly and homebound, those who have had loss of loved ones in the last 11 months, and anyone who tends to be alone from other loss or for any reason. Time is precious and I pray we find time to spend with our family and friends. I also challenge you to find a neighbor or someone you may know who is limited in their mobility or motivation to be out and about. Even if it is a phone call or a brief visit, we can never estimate to good it will do that person and it is sure to help remind the enemy that he is defeated and we will love others as Jesus taught us. Shepherds watch their sheep to keep them together. Jesus talked of the shepherd who left the flock to search for the one lost. We are all shepherds for this world. Jesus let us know it is not good to be alone. Reach out to those about you and you will be blessed and so will they. We look forward to seeing all who join us on Sunday mornings at 1100 am. We will have some changes to regular hours. There will be no Tuesday night service on December 24th, and December 31st. Sunday December 8th we will have family celebration beginning around 1200 noon.
