As we prepared the poster board collages of pictures of Meagen, - TopicsExpress

As we prepared the poster board collages of pictures of Meagen, Lance was given the arduous task of taking pictures out of frames that Meagen had put together. What we discovered was that she had secured the photos in such a way as to make them almost impossible to remove. After reflecting, I realized that those framed pictures were a testament to how she lived her life. Meagen was a brick layer. She did everything in life with permanence in mind. It was how she decorated her home, how she cherished keepsakes and how she cultivated memories. Everything she did was with the purpose of keeping things strong, durable and close to her heart. Such was the way she treated people, not just her family and friends but everyone she met. Her words and her deeds were her bricks and her love was her mortar. She laid the foundation of every relationship with great care and built upon them with kind words and gestures. She knew the importance of permanence and, once shed begun to build, it was intended that she keep those relationships forever. She knew her steps, wherever they took her, were laying a foundation and she took great care that nobody would be harmed in her travels. I am going to try very hard to hold on to the lesson Meagen passed on to me. I am going to try to live a life of permanence, taking care how I travel through this life and doing all I can to lay the bricks that will build the memories that will lead to a legacy of love. If I can do half the job she did of it, Ill have done much to honor my child.
